Nordic walking is a new, exciting way to get into shape. Come experience all the benefits: better posture, better balance, stronger back muscles, improved toning and a more active cardio work out. It's an easy and effective exercise, and anyone can do it. The poles allow you to involve up to 90% of the muscles of your body in one fitness activity and increases caloric burn by up to 40% over regular walking, and Nordic walking is FUN. LEKI Nordic walking poles will be provided for use in class. You may bring your own poles, but they must be approved by the instructor for use in the class. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, we will be outdoors. Training is on grass and asphalt. In case of rain, class will be held indoors. Poles will also be available for purchase through Community Education. A Brookside Trotters pin will be included for each person who registers.
